Sea Ice & Freezing Drizzle

This is the reason it has been so cold lately......sea ice and the cold north wind that brought it close to shore. This morning we awoke to freezing drizzle and everything was covered in glitter. These pictures were taken in Torbay and Middle Cove this afternoon.

That is amazing! I just can't imagine it being that cold - it's still in the high 30's (C) here and we're desperately waiting for it to drop just a few degrees so we can open up the windows and get some fresh air in.

Awesome. The ice isnt as thick out here in CBS. We had some glitter on the trees though and this morning when the sun started to shine, the glitter started to fall. It sounded like chimes. Beautiful.
